Synopsis

Keepers of the Port tells the story of the last people left at a port. Ordinary, simple daily life is interwoven with old footage of the port to show the hardships, joys and sorrows of getting by. Sometimes these memories belong not only to the two of them but perhaps to the past and experiences of a whole generation. Though everything is changing now, the old port lives on in their world, with good fortune and misfortune taking turns... The work is a precious memory lost at the port, along with VHS footage dug out of the dust. Some of it may be realistic, some harsh, some thought-provoking, but that is human nature, full of entanglements and paradoxes of right and wrong. May the good things last; tomorrow will be better.
