In a humid, sweltering city in Lingnan, a teenage girl watches the cracks her parents carefully paper over. A "complete" family held together by silence and lies is quietly falling apart, and she decides to take a risk. The opportunity seems to come from raising money for her boyfriend's film dream, but it is only the fuse she has carefully chosen. Her actions land like a boulder dropped into still water, instantly shattering the fragile illusion her parents have kept up for years. Once the false calm is broken, the bonds buried deep within find room to grow again. Through something close to self-sacrifice, the girl forces her parents to face each other and examine themselves. It is the story of a girl who, with absolute resolve, rebuilds her family.
