About the Director
Studied drama, film and television literature at Hebei Institute of Communications, then completed a non-degree program in the Department of Literature at the Beijing Film Academy. Directed the short films Roots, The Winter Wind Cuts Like Scissors, Fulfilling a Vow, Two Days and Last Dance; developed the feature projects The Smeared Stele and At 60, It's Time to Strike Out; online films include Backbone Crime and Don't Laugh: A Night's Dream. Two Days was selected for the 2023 Cannes Short Film Corner and the 2022 World Nomad Film Festival; Roots was selected for the Pingyao Corner section of the Pingyao International Film Festival; Mr. Skinny was selected for the Chinese Film Festival Squared screenings in Europe; A Bouquet of Debts was a top 10 project of the 9th Qingcong Project.
