Synopsis

After school on an ordinary, happy Friday afternoon, Ma Xingyuan goes to his classmate Erzhuang's home and watches Erzhuang wolfing down the stir-fried green beans with rice his mother made for him. Ma Xingyuan's mouth waters, and the meal stays deep in his heart. His parents, busy with work, always give him the best material comforts but rarely have the chance to cook him a meal themselves. They hardly ever cook at home and get by on takeaway for every meal. On Saturday morning, Ma Xingyuan tries every way he can to talk with his parents, hoping only to eat a simple meal of green beans with rice made by their own hands, like the one at Erzhuang's home.
