Synopsis

One afternoon after school, a mischievous four-year-old boy is taken by his father to Fayuan Temple. After praying at the temple, the father refuses to pay the parking fee, is rude to the attendant, and drives off. The boy sees it all and remembers. The next day, the boy secretly takes some of his father's money and sets out by subway to give it to the attendant, but a kind stranger stops him and his father brings him home. On the third day, the boy has an idea and goes out to look for money, and finally finds some at a cinema. That night he travels across the city alone by subway, finds the attendant asleep and quietly leaves the money beside him. After leaving, the boy finds the subway has closed. He panics and bursts into tears, but soon pulls himself together and goes to the roadside. A kind taxi driver offers to contact his father, but the boy runs away. Late at night he runs alone through the streets, and at dawn he gets home.
