Stop Waiting, My Takeout
Stop Waiting, My Takeout
Synopsis
Delivery rider Dong Tao is a cheerful, upbeat vlogger who likes to record his deliveries on his phone. After years of struggling at the bottom, he is determined to change his fate and pursue his dream of working in film and television, so he enrolls in a TV university, but he can never scrape together the tuition. With the start of term approaching and his dream about to slip away, his hard work finally moves him from the platform's "crowd-sourced" mode to its "fast-run" mode, which means the system will keep assigning orders automatically, so he can earn more and no longer has to wait to grab orders. Fired up, Dong Tao records his first day of "fast-run" in a vlog. But he cannot cope with the new nonstop flow of orders, and with difficult customers on top of that, he does not earn any more by the end of the day and loses the will to keep going. Just as his hopes are about to be dashed, a talk with the school's director and encouragement from his friend Brother Feiji put him back on the road. Can he realize his dream of changing his fate? Dong Tao can only keep rushing through the city in search of the answer.
