Synopsis

A husband is killed in a traffic accident he caused, leaving his wife and son with heavy compensation debts. The wife works hard every day to pay them off but cannot give her son a better life. Their only indulgence each month comes on the 25th, her payday, when the three of them share one bowl of noodles at Fuhe Noodle Shop. The shop owner feels sorry for them and quietly adds half a portion of noodles each time. This small kindness gives them warmth and the confidence and courage to face what lies ahead. Then the landlord decides to sell the property and asks the owner's family to move out as soon as possible. The owner's wife is caught in a dilemma: she tries every way she can to delay the move until after the 25th, because she wants to say goodbye to the mother and son.
