Synopsis

The whole film is told from a dog's point of view, simulating the world as a dog sees it. The puppy Qiuqiu lives with its owner, but one day the owner sends Qiuqiu away to be looked after elsewhere. Unable to bear being apart from its owner, Qiuqiu sneaks back home, and the owner sends it away again. Again and again the owner sends it away, and again and again the puppy sneaks home. It turns out the owner is seriously ill, with little time left, and can no longer look after the puppy, so has to leave it in someone else's care. But the puppy cannot know any of this and only wants to stay by its owner's side. Owner and dog keep coming back to each other, sent away and returning time after time. Now they face a final choice: will they stay together, or will the dog be left in someone else's care?
