Synopsis

Retired Zhao Fengying has a dream: to dance. Dancing brings her into conflict with her son, Chen Jiangguo, and in anger she moves back to her old house. Sustained by her love of dance, she tries every way to realize her dream, even occupying a basketball court, and through a chance encounter meets her granddaughter's boyfriend. With the encouragement and help of the two young people, Zhao Fengying changes her outlook, strengthens her resolve, and moves step by step toward her dream. But her son, learning what is happening, worries about her health and comes again to stop her, and the two quarrel once more. Fearing she may never be able to dance again, Zhao Fengying asks Guan Zhidong to film a video of her dancing. After the recording, she regains her fighting spirit, but just then the dance competition is put on hold.
