Synopsis

In her absurd dreams, a girl sees seventeen sunsets. Because of a discordant upbringing and her unusual way of thinking, every year she does strange things and has thoughts resembling schizophrenia. The world in her eyes is magnificent, so her behavior stays at the level of a child. The world she feels is cold, but she has not lost the ability to love, and chooses to keep exploring it. As she grows older, however, her schizophrenic symptoms grow more severe. She numbs herself with smoking and drinking, attempts suicide, and gradually becomes unwell. Her longing for love drives her to search with all her strength for a sense of security and belonging, but these cannot be found in reality. Her behavior grows more and more absurd, and her longing for warmth and sunshine grows stronger. One night at seventeen, she wakes from a dream and, forgetting that she has already taken sleeping pills, drinks heavily. Under the effect of the pills and alcohol, she finally has the fantasy she wanted, but as she sees the unreal dream of seventeen sunsets, she is also close to death.
