Director: Qiao Shuai

Synopsis

Police officer Lao Sun is driving on the highway when he receives a notice from his superior, Captain Wang: a boy has run away from an orphanage, and they need to help the orphanage director find him. On the road, Lao Sun finds the boy. While chatting, he confirms the boy's identity while disguising his own, and discovers that they share the same interests. Because Lao Sun forgets to turn off his walkie-talkie, the boy hears Captain Wang's voice, realizes something is wrong, and jumps out of the car to run. The two struggle on the frozen lake, and the boy is finally brought back to the car. In the car, the boy breaks down and tells the truth about why he fled the orphanage. Moved by his words, Lao Sun begins to waver about taking him back to the police station. As night falls, Lao Sun drives the boy to the bus station. Watching the boy walk away, Lao Sun lights a cigarette.
