Synopsis

Wen Zijun, the earnest but rigid head of the drama club, is determined to make a splash at the school gala, but his classmates Zhu Wentao and Yao Tian do not take rehearsals seriously at all. As he is leaving, Wen Zijun sees Yao Tian and Zhu Wentao disappear into a restroom and becomes convinced he has entered a parallel universe. Unaware that he believes they have crossed over, Yao Tian and Zhu Wentao start acting as their ideal selves to play tricks on him. Each of the three performances touches the others' sore spots, and the quarrel that follows pulls them all back to cold reality. The three dream of another, better world, where a perfect version of themselves exists and every wish can come true. But it turns out that the countless other parallel universes are just like this one: harsh reality.
