Synopsis
Because of a shantytown redevelopment plan, there is no longer any room for the donkey that Lao Wang has raised for years, and he reluctantly gives it away. After the donkey is led away, Lao Wang increasingly feels that, like the donkey, he is fated to be left behind by the times. In the end, against everyone's objections, he brings the donkey back home.
