Her Story: Synopsis
Wang Tiemei (Song Jia), a single mother who insists on being strong, moves into a new home with her child Wang Moli (Isabella Zeng) and meets her neighbour Xiao Ye (Elaine Zhong), a self-described clear-headed hopeless romantic. The two women could not be more different: one is tough, the other soft; one is good at mothering others, the other good at lying on the spot. Facing old wounds and new challenges, they warm and comfort each other. As for the two men around Wang Tiemei, her ex-husband (Mark Chao) keeps "making trouble", while her daughter's drum teacher (Zhang Yu) seems to hold new possibilities. What new problems will awakened women and men who have studied gender issues run into? How will they see themselves and the world?
