In film as an audiovisual art, sound is like the film's lifeblood, present everywhere. The sound of One Second balances simplicity and richness in what it conveys. It helps build the period feel and realism of the film's narrative space and gives strong support to the plausibility of the dramatic conflicts in the screenplay. In particular, the screening sequences recreate the authentic listening experience of an era when films were projected on celluloid, while expressing the emotional investment that filmmakers and audiences share in the art form of cinema, presenting both the technical and the artistic sides of film sound. Winner of Best Sound.
