As Mo Sanmei, Lighting Up the Stars
Jury Citation
In Lighting Up the Stars, Zhu Yilong distils, with precision and fine detail, the marks that the character's upbringing and life experience have left on him, showing the actor's observation and expression of the details of life. He gives a rich, three-dimensional portrayal of Mo Sanmei, outwardly roguish and unruly, inwardly kind and warm, and presents in layers the character's growth and transformation and the truth of his humanity, reflecting the actor's high aesthetic standards in performance. Winner of Best Actor.
