Synopsis
Based on a true story, the film tells of teenager Wang Xinyang, whose life changes completely when he suddenly develops leukemia. Facing an uncertain future, Xinyang remains optimistic and strong and works to realize the dreams of his youth.

Adapted from a real person's story, Goodbye, Boy focuses on children with leukemia and pays attention to their psychological state and their family and social relationships, giving it a vivid realist foundation. The narrative is complete and fluent, the emotion builds layer by layer, and the camera work sets the mood. The actors' sincere performances are moving. Through details that touch without sentimentality, and in warm tones, the film shows a boy's longing for youth and for his dreams. Winner of Best Children's Film.
