Synopsis
Following My People, My Country in 2019 and My People, My Homeland in 2020, My Country, My Parents, the third film in the National Day trilogy, was released over the 2021 National Day holiday. Directed by Wu Jing, Zhang Ziyi, Xu Zheng and Shen Teng, it brings the "Chinese film dreamers" together again. Taking the revolution, socialist construction, reform and opening up, and the new era as historical coordinates, it depicts the struggles of several generations of parents from the perspective of "family and country", tells of the blood ties and spiritual heritage that connect the Chinese people, and recreates the memory of their hard work across the decades.
