About the Project

The Huawei Imaging XMAGE · Golden Rooster Mobile Film Project (Golden Rooster Mobile Film Project for short) was launched jointly by the Organizing Committee of the China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival and Huawei. It aims to provide a new venue and platform for exchange and cooperation among mobile filmmakers and to explore the creative possibilities of filmmaking on mobile phones. The project will expand its cooperation with universities, film and television organizations, video platforms and specialist film and television media to strengthen its professional standing, credibility and influence. Through mobile filmmaking, it seeks to bring talent from around the world to the Chinese film industry and support the development of Chinese-language cinema. The Organizing Committee invites all individuals and groups interested in mobile filmmaking to take part; entrants from all countries and regions are eligible. The project does not restrict the brand or model of phone used, and all mobile films that meet the Call for Entries Rules may be submitted.
