The Timid "Dragon"

Synopsis

The story takes place in a tropical rainforest in southwest China. A little boy, Ai Meng, goes camping there with his father. A sudden accident breaks both his father's legs, and his father has no choice but to make Ai Meng go back to the car to get help. The journey does not seem very dangerous at first, but when a bull-headed monster appears, he is driven off course, and running for his life, Ai Meng gets lost in the rainforest. Nature seems to be making things hard for this timid child on purpose: danger follows danger, and his only companions are a merperson and an insect spirit, half real and half imagined. Fear, more fear, still waits for him on the road...
