In the heavens, the goddess Sanshengmu fell in love with a mortal scholar, Liu Yanchang. For this, she defied divine law, descended to the mortal world with the Lotus Lantern, and pledged herself to him. They had a son named ChenXiang. Seven years later, Erlang Shen suddenly appeared. Using ChenXiang as leverage, he threatened Sanshengmu, seized the Lotus Lantern, and imprisoned her beneath Mount Hua. ChenXiang learned of his true origins from the local earth deity. To rescue his mother and reclaim the Lotus Lantern, he embarked on a long and arduous journey. Along the way, ChenXiang faced countless dangers and overcame numerous hardships, gradually growing into a courageous young man. With the help of his companions, he toppled the stone statue of Erlang Shen, forged a divine axe, and engaged in a final battle against Erlang Shen.
