Synopsis
The action is broken into three different love stories, each set in a different era — a 1966 pool hall, a prosperous 1911 brothel, and contemporary Taipei. The dream of love is pure, like the far shore of an unreachable dream. The dream of freedom is moving, yet it is a vision even more distant, close to heaven. The dream of youth is cold, yet it is reality.
