When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit
Director: Caroline Link Screenwriter: Anna Brüggemann, Caroline Link
The film is based upon the same-name bestseller novel. Anna, a 9-year-old girl, lives in a Jewish family in Berlin. On the eve of Hitler's coming into German power, her father, who has criticized the Nazis in a straightforward way, is thus obliged to flee along with the entire family to Zurich, to Paris and then to London. Bidding farewell to her favorite toy of a pink rabbit, Anna has undergone plenty of hardship and misery in her refugee days. However, she invariably gains friendship and golden memory wherever she dwells and the inner light of justice in her heart never fades a bit.
