Synopsis

Following the sounds of making xiangyunsha (gambiered silk), the film records the full process, from dyeing with river mud and drying in the sun to cutting and sewing garments. Through the crackled texture of the fabric and the sounds of passing years, it tells the story of time held within this intangible cultural heritage craft.
