At the Macao Film and TV Funding Programs and Project Promotion, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and several film and TV companies presented funding programs for Macao’s film and TV industry and shared their project experience. Xu Xinyuan, a member of the Cultural Development Fund of the Macao SAR Government, said that to attract more quality film and TV projects to Macao, the government uses the funding programs of the Cultural Development Fund to encourage production teams from outside Macao to shoot in Macao and include “Macao elements,” with a view to promoting and distributing their work in Macao.

Several film and TV projects produced or shot in Macao were presented, including Fooling Around With You, How to Fly, The Days I Met You and Lucky Pavilion, which uses well-known landmarks to convey nostalgia and family ties. These works bring the city’s landscape and local culture into a range of subjects, show the appeal and openness of Greater Bay Area culture, and reflect on Macao itself.
