Synopsis

The film is set during the epidemic. When the outbreak hits China, Mina, a student studying abroad, worries about her mother. Later, when the outbreak hits the United States, her mother worries about her daughter in the same way. An elderly couple runs a Chinese restaurant. While most restaurants close early during the epidemic, they keep theirs open late into the night so that more overseas students can have a taste of Chinese home cooking. At a time when masks cannot be bought in the US, the old woman gives one of her few remaining masks to a student who comes to order. A driver who needs to support his family but wants to avoid contact with others switches to delivering takeout, and is moved by the couple's actions when he picks up an order. Through a single mask, several generations of overseas Chinese pass on this traditional Chinese virtue. Finally, the film thanks the motherland for its help to Chinese students overseas during the epidemic.
