Synopsis

Xiaoqiu is the only university student from his village. Four years ago, the villagers pooled money to pay his tuition, and he is now in his fourth year. During the 2020 Spring Festival, the sudden outbreak of the epidemic brings subtle changes to how Xiaoqiu, once popular in the village, is treated: communication at a distance, a New Year without family reunions, silent streets, and the helplessness of not knowing when he can return to school. Emotional exchange between people freezes. After months of isolation, the lockdown finally ends and Xiaoqiu sets out for school. He leaves alone, but at every place he passes he receives the villagers' care. No words are spoken, yet the traces of love are passed on from hand to hand like a relay...
