Synopsis
The story takes place in Longnan County, a city of revolutionary history in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, and is based on a true story. As a child, Linzhi was playful and mischievous and liked to tease her grandfather, whose eyesight was poor. Her grandfather was a veteran who had fought as a young soldier. He loved writing and published many books of revolutionary stories, and he often took his granddaughter to a nearby revolutionary heritage site, the Yanyuan Walled Village in Hongyan Village. He told her stories of the revolutionary period again and again, but the young Linzhi did not listen. One day, Linzhi's grandfather passed away. In her eyes, the red star in the sky became her grandfather's medal. Her grandfather never got to see how proud she was wearing her red scarf, and, following his example, Linzhi pasted the many certificates she had won on the wall. As an adult, Linzhi becomes a staff member of the Longnan County Party Committee and a volunteer with the revolutionary history lecture group, giving tours to visitors at the Yanyuan Walled Village scenic area where her grandfather often took her. She carries on the revolutionary legacy, and the small Party emblem shines on her chest.
