Synopsis

The film is about a new kind of father-son relationship in a changing Chinese society. Father and son are not good at communicating. There may be conflicts or misunderstandings between them, but this does not affect their feelings for each other. Lao Wang is a food delivery rider. To cover the family's expenses, he works day after day until he is exhausted. He is extremely irritable, but has to force a smile for customers, so he is somewhat short-tempered with his family. Lao Wang gets a call from the teacher: his son has argued with a classmate at school and got into a fight. Meanwhile, Lao Wang's delivery scooter is locked up by a security guard, and he injures his ankle. When he talks with his son, communication between them breaks down.
