Synopsis

Li Zihao lives with his father in Xinming Village, the two of them relying on each other. By chance, his father hears that a new variety of orange grown on a small scale last year sold very well on e-commerce platforms. Believing he has found a business opportunity, he takes out a loan, leases land to expand planting and works hard with Zihao, hoping to escape poverty. But when the fruit ripens, nearby farmers have all followed the trend and planted the same variety, the oranges do not sell, and the family falls deep into debt. His father blames Zihao for not going to work in the city to see more of the world, which might have kept the family out of trouble. Zihao calmly accepts the situation, believing that hard work will always pay off. But his father angrily decides Zihao lacks ambition and drives him out of the village. Delivering takeaway food in the busy city, Zihao meets setback after setback, and at this low point he meets Chen Yiming, a younger brother figure who is also in difficulty. The boy's special circumstances give Zihao a new goal. The two work together and life begins to look hopeful, but just as they are about to reach their goal, everything is put on hold. Reality is cruel, and for the first time Zihao feels the same helplessness his father felt. After all this, he returns to the village to face the problems he cannot avoid, but this time he has the courage to face them.
