Synopsis

Lao Qi, born Chen Guoqing in 1969 in Yong'an, Sichuan, was left with an intellectual disability by a childhood illness. After his parents died, his siblings had no time to look after him, and in 2013 Li Qiang took him in to work at the old Guanyin Pavilion teahouse in Pengzhen, Sichuan. Over his ten years at the teahouse, meeting all kinds of people, he became the customers' favorite, and they often teased him; Lao Qi grew more and more cheerful. But Lao Qi has always had an unfulfilled dream: to marry and have children. Everyone in the teahouse knows about this dream, and it has become a topic of conversation among the customers. One day, Lao Qi unexpectedly gets a call from a "matchmaker" who has found him a match. On the day they are to meet at the teahouse, Lao Qi begins his careful preparations and long wait at 6 a.m...
