Synopsis

At the end of the year, people pray to heaven for blessings, but whether the gods answer is another matter. Our blessing officer and his deputy are in charge of this: they decide, based on the content of each prayer, whether to respond. Among those praying are a kind man who helps elderly neighbors shop online, a migrant worker couple who after years away finally have the chance to go home but could not get tickets, and an old man living alone who hopes his old dog will come back to life. Everyone has their own difficulties, but our gods have limited powers and cannot answer every request from the human world. Love, however, is a curious thing: once given, it passes on in surprising ways.
