Synopsis

After the setback of an album release, Li Ke, lead singer of a band, falls out with the other members. Meanwhile her best friend Gu Chunyan is getting married, and Li Ke takes the chance to return to Miyi, the hometown she left long ago. At the wedding Li Ke meets her middle school schoolmate He Chao again, and through He Chao she gets to know Zhang Yang, a music producer from Beijing. During her stay in Miyi, Chunyan's repeated hints help Li Ke understand how hard these years have been for her father. To ease the tension between father and daughter, her father Li Bing uses his birthday as an occasion to invite Li Ke's friends home for dinner. At the table, when He Chao proposes inviting Li Ke's band to perform in Miyi, Li Ke flatly refuses, and Li Bing senses that something is wrong between his daughter and the band. After learning roughly what happened with the band, Li Bing takes out his savings and asks the music producer Zhang Yang to help Li Ke realize her musical dream, and apologizes to the band members by text message on her behalf. Meanwhile, Li Ke also comes to see her own problems, and after much hesitation she decides to break the deadlock. Although the members are all busy with their own careers, they all still care about music, and moved by Li Bing's sincerity, they gather in Miyi. On the day of the performance, with the support of family and friends, the band's performance gradually ignites the whole audience, and everything starts moving in a better direction.
