Synopsis

Half a month is left before the end of the summer vacation after graduation. In the scorching summer, with the first sharp pain of a wisdom tooth, Xiaoyun breaks up with her boyfriend, and life suddenly feels heavy. Qiaolan is Xiaoyun's best friend and sidekick, and Xiaosai is the school beauty in the boys' eyes. The three grew up together and are inseparable, drifting like a cluster of ghosts through every corner of the small town, yet they are different from one another. The graduation season, after the excitement has faded, is flat and dull; amid laughter with friends they feel the timelessness of their friendship. But life gives them no breathing room: having planned to attend the same university, they fall out when Xiaosai and Qiaolan change their minds. Her cheating ex-boyfriend suddenly wants to get back together and pesters Xiaoyun; she manages to shake him off for a while, but the toothache becomes unbearable and she feels a loneliness she has never felt before. Two familiar figures in the crowd come to her rescue: Qiaolan and Xiaosai. In the end they make up, and Xiaoyun has two wisdom teeth pulled. The new semester is coming and summer is ending. The pulled teeth will not grow back, but in that moment she feels reborn.
