Synopsis

A woman, An Xin, dies unexpectedly in her living room. Her daughter, An Jing, the only witness at the scene, says her mother was killed after quarrelling with a man in the living room. From the evidence at the scene, police officer Yan Li finds that the killer may be someone else, so she interrogates An Jing again, and An Jing falls step by step into the traps she has set. Facing An Jing as the real killer of her mother, Yan Li is deeply disappointed. But just then An Jing calmly admits that she was only helping An Xin find release, and that An Xin was not her birth mother. When An Jing produces a surrogacy contract, Yan Li suddenly realizes that the girl in front of her is the daughter she carried as a surrogate years ago, and An Jing's calm, provocative manner shows she has come prepared for her.
