Director: Jin Chuan

Synopsis

A Century of Family Photos records the experiences abroad of five generations of the Jin family, whether for study or for official duties. They were ordinary people in a great era who left their mark in different professions. Behind a century of one family's images lie China's development over time and the exchanges between Chinese people and world cultures. Lao Jin, in his sixties, goes abroad for the first time, choosing to "travel" to Africa with his family. His son, Xiao Jin, planned to shoot his graduation short film in Kenya but could not come up with a script and had to improvise. As the family lingers in the beautiful natural scenery, the short film plan is close to collapse. So why does the trip to Africa leave the Jin family with their best memories?
