Synopsis

The story takes place in a village near the county town of Jingxing. Xiaojuan, a recent graduate now working, arrives at her grandmother's home after her holiday begins on the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month... The film draws on family affection, hometown and the taste of home to connect with the audience. What do the words "family" and "hometown" mean to us? They mean familiarity and attachment: the crunch of peanuts ground by Grandma's hand, the warmth of the evening breeze from the mountains. This feeling of family sitting together in warm lamplight may slowly fade in our full and busy lives. As we leave home to pursue our dreams, we should not forget the care of our loved ones, the familiar accent of home, and the road back.
