Synopsis

On June 19, 2022, Chongqing Railway Station, another Chinese station with a tradition of playing farewell music for departing trains, closed for renovation. A hearing-impaired couple living beside the station never imagined that this "indestructible" giant of steel would go away along with the waltz that had accompanied them for decades. For decades, whenever a train departed, they danced to the farewell music, though their rhythm in fact came from the vibration of the tracks. Without the vibration of the trains on the tracks, there would be no more dancing. Decades have passed and much has changed. The old promise is gone, and the bride has become a white-haired old woman living alone, her youth departed with the old green train.
