High school student Chiang Yen-jung is gifted in literature but often fails in math and science. In her final year of high school, the school's best Chinese teacher, Kang Nan, becomes her homeroom teacher. Through Yen-jung's journals, he discovers her literary talent and her hidden sorrow. Kang Nan begins to care for his sensitive and introspective student, and Yen-jung gradually develops feelings for him. What follows is a forbidden romance between teacher and student.
