Partly influenced by his wife, actress Kimi Hsia, director Tom Lin tackles the complex love-and-hate relationship between mothers and daughters. When Yen returns home, she discovers that her mother is dating yet another abusive man. Will Yen be able to take control of her fate, or is she doomed to be dragged down by family for the rest of her life?
