Synopsis
Wang Tiemei (Song Jia), a single mother who hates to show weakness, moves into a new home with her daughter Wang Moli (Isabella Zeng) and gets to know her neighbor Xiao Ye (Elaine Zhong), who is clear-eyed about love yet still a romantic at heart. The two women could hardly be more different: one tough, one soft; one good at mothering others, the other good at telling lies whenever needed. Facing old wounds and new challenges, they give each other warmth and comfort. Then there are the two men around Wang Tiemei: her ex-husband (Mark Chao), who keeps causing trouble, and her daughter's drum teacher (Zhang Yu), who seems to hold new possibilities. What new problems will these awakened women, and men who have studied gender issues, run into? And how will they see themselves and the world?
