The challenge for Jackson Yee in playing a young man with cerebral palsy in Big World was not only to achieve a highly realistic physical portrayal in every detail together with deep empathy for the character's inner life, but also to infuse that portrayal with genuine understanding and respect. As a young actor, his performance shows solid craft and artistic depth in its balance of restraint and release, and this is the core of his award.
