Synopsis

In the fight against the colonisers, two people who could not be more different come to understand the beliefs they truly want to protect. In the end, Iron Bird chooses to stay and protect the people of the planet Wagang, while Nan Shan sets out again to find the scattered Messenger organisation. In the limited time and life they have, will they meet again...

About the Director

Li Xiaofeng: his debut feature, Nezha, was selected for the 19th Busan International Film Festival, the only mainland Chinese-language film in the New Currents main competition, and was nominated for Best New Director and Best Adapted Screenplay at the 51st Golden Horse Awards. In 2020, his crime drama Rebirth from the Ashes was released on the Youku video platform, and his third feature, Wind and Waves, was selected for the main competition of the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival.

Han Song: Deputy Director of the Science Fiction Literature Committee of the China Writers Association and President of the World Chinese Science Fiction Association.
