Film Introduction
Esther is a picture book author and Thomas is an illustrator. Esther is drawn to Thomas's calm and quirky charm, while Thomas is overwhelmed by Esther's wild passion, and the sky thunders as the two come together. Years later, however, a sudden calamity befalls their family. It's a particularly bad day, as Thomas struggles to keep everything in his life on shaky ground, and can't help but begin to reminisce about the first day he met Esther.
