Synopsis
On the outskirts of Beijing, a group of children in difficult circumstances practice baseball under a coach in his seventies. The arrival of a boy named Ma Hu breaks the calm: he fools around, picks fights and forms cliques, and becomes a thorn in the side of his teammates and the coach. Because of demolition, the baseball base is ordered to move out by a deadline, while in six months the team will represent the Asia-Pacific region at a world Little League tournament in the United States. Can the boys pull together and push past their limits? What future awaits the base and the children?
