Film Introduction
When the City Drama Troupe rehearses a play based on a real case, Ma Fuli, the subject of the play, argues that the plot does not correspond to the facts and seeks redress. A stepdaughter, Jin Duo Duo, is pregnant out of wedlock, which puts the Ma family in a difficult situation. Duo Duo finally decides to abort the child because Ma can't clear his name of the murder. In order to save the child, Ma puts himself and the troupe into greater difficulties.
