Jury Citation
The jury found that The Wind Guardians is well made, with a distinctly Chinese aesthetic. It integrates prominent Chinese elements with modern aesthetics and depicts with delicacy the Chinese-style bonds between mother and son and between father and son, as well as the protagonist's innocent first love, with strong expressive power. The film offers a new interpretation of traditional Chinese culture, and its use of digital technology and music is natural and vivid, providing useful experience for the creation of Chinese animation.
