About the Golden Rooster Cross-Strait, Hong Kong & Macao Youth Short Film Season

The Golden Rooster Cross-Straits, Hong Kong, and Macao Youth Short Film Season is one of the core flagship events of the China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. Jointly presented by the China Film Association and the Xiamen Municipal Film Bureau, it stands as the sole official young filmmaker project operating under the prestigious Golden Rooster banner. Open to emerging Chinese-language filmmakers across the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and the global Chinese diaspora, the initiative leverages the national platform of the Festival to discover and support visionary new directors. Through comprehensive mentoring and industry exposure, it is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of creative talent for Chinese cinema.
